Emergency First Aid

Course duration: 1 Day | Maximum of 12 delegates
Each participant receives a certificate after successfully completing the course

This course can be adapted to suit a particular audience and is ideal for lower risk businesses, in accordance with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.

The course is run over one day and includes both theory and practical sessions, in a relaxed atmosphere, designed to boost a candidate's confidence.

Course Contents:

• Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations
• Managing an incident
• Priorities of first aid
• Resuscitation
• Recognition and treatment of shock
• Choking
• Seizures
• Blood loss/bleeding
• Common workplace injuries
• The unconscious casualty
• Record keeping and accident reporting

Certification is dependent on successful, continuous assessment of the student, there is no final exam. Those students who complete the course and are deemed to have reached the required standard are issued with a certificate that is valid for three years.*

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Delegates attending this course should be physically fit.
* Under the current guidelines it is strongly recommended that first aid trained staff attend a half-day update every twelve months.
